Restoring faith in humanity

Need a boost to start your week that isn't painful like the kick photo a few days ago?  Here ya go!

These are pictures of a man jumping into rough waters to rescue a stranger's Shih Tzu in Melbourne.

The text and photos are from Buzz Feed, a site shared on Facebook by Joan Steffend Brandmeier. Some of you may remember her from her show on HGTV called Decorating Cents.

Sue Drummond was walking her beloved Shih Tzu, Bibi, on a pier in Melbourne, when a fierce gust of wind picked him up and hurled him into the rough waters of the bay. A passerby, Raden Soemawinata, who happened to be on the pier that day to scatter his grandmother's ashes, wasted no time in stripping down and diving into the bay to rescue the animal.

There is more kindness and compassion in the world than most news broadcasts would lead you to believe. May your day be filled with kindness and compassion, both in giving and receiving.

Amazing. Along with being a hero, he looks like he could be an underwear model, too.
