Great results from a Chiropractor

I have suffered with terrible sinus headaches for years. I had tests years ago to see if they were migraines and tried the drug that was then "the" medication for them. That wasn't the answer. Over time I've learned to cope with them and what over the counter medications help and have made the best of it.

Some of my internet friends talked about chiropractors helping them with a wide variety of aches and pains. Interesting. One mentioned sinus pain. She had my attention! What did I have to lose except a headache? I still hesitated to make an appointment though. For every person who encourages you to try chiropractic, there is one advising against it.

Occasionally I strain my lower back and have muscle spasms that can be quite annoying when the seize and make everyday movements possible. Recognizing the onset of that problem, I made my first chiropractic appointment a year ago. After discussing my symptoms and examining x-rays, the doctor performed a simple manipulation that took care of my back. Yeah!

She asked what else was going on with my body. I told her about the headaches. Most of what I believed to be sinus headaches have been from neck misalignment. The pain was referral pain felt in the sinus regions of my face. I went from two visits per week, to one, to one every other week and now go once every 3-4 weeks to have my neck adjusted.

I am not here to tell anyone what that they should seek chiropractic services, only that it has worked wonders for me. I still get occasional headaches, especially when the weather is wonky (highly medical and meteorological term) but I go months now without taking any medication for headaches.

I am very thankful to have found Dr Oster and for the relief I've known this past year. Every day without a headache is a blessing.

Gosh that's inspiring. I'm so glad you have found relief from your headaches. I have recently begun suffering from allergies (so we think, I'm off to the pulmonologist next week), and I see how miserable things like this can make people. Good for you!

Here by way of Ann Tatum's 30 Days of Thanksgiving blog. I came by yesterday but didn't comment. My heart broke to read about your business closing. Y'all were in my heart/prayers last night.
LOL Cats - so funny. Thanks.
My cousin and a pharmacist says oral magnesium helps w/headaches. I've tried it and it worked. I forget to take it though. I don't know the contraindications for it though so be sure to check that out. See ya next time! Jenn Oh yes, hope you'll stop by my blog too. Thanks!

Knit, great things that I missed out on. You always tickle my funny bone with some of your post. My children think I'm a little weird at times also, especially when it comes to Christmas decorating.
People swear about the use of a Nellie Pot, I think that's what it's called. They say it cleared up their sinuses in no time after using it. Al got messed up by a chiropractor, so I'm a little scared of them, but happy to hear that you got relief. I don't think I will ever know what pain free is again and I'm looking at the glass half full. Stay sweet. love and hugs, Pat

I was in an automobile accident last week. At first I didn't think I got hurt, but the next day, I was really sore. I have been thinking about going to a chiropractor. I think I will. Sorry to hear about your husband's company closing. I have been out of work since July. I love being home, but I'm not old enough to retire and we need the income. Unemployment is helping for the time being.

I am so happy this worked for you. I have a bad back and often considered going to a chiropractor. If I get bad enough, I think I will.

Thanks for your candid insights.

As someone who suffers with horrible back pain, I can understand your feelings about a chiropractor. I don't use one but I have friends who couldn't live without theirs! Life has little blessings around every corner, doesn't it☺

Knitty, this is so good to know. I had migraines for a number of years to the point that I would have to go to the ER for pain shots. I only have them on occasion now, but I had one on Friday (wonky weather, as you said) that put me in bed for 15 hours after my company left. I have never tried a chiropractor, but one of my best friend goes and loves hers. I am so glad they can help you not only with the back pain, but the headaches, too.

XO,

Sheila :-)
