Missing summer

Who else dislikes the time change? It may be harder to adjust in the spring when we lose an hour of sleep, but I don't like darkness falling so early. The gradual change throughout October is sad enough to someone who loves daylight, especially sunshine, but yesterday it was dark inside my house before 5:00. Part of that was due to the sun going to bed behind gray clouds before evening officially began. It sure made for a dreary late afternoon and a long evening.

This picture was taken in July, from a cottage deck. *Sigh* It was warm, the sky was beautiful as the sun set, and it was around 9:00 in the evening.

Thankfully, the sun is coming out after a night and morning of rain and the temperature should be unseasonably mild for the next few days. My Blue Monday will not be blue in spirit, but sunny. Happy Blue Monday everyone, no matter what your weather may be.

I don't like this time change either. I guess I'm getting old because I'd like them to leave it alone! Boy that view! This could be a Pink Saturday OR a Blue Monday post. Happy Blue Monday.

Happy BM
Love the view.
I'm ok with the time change. It makes for longer cuddly evenings and a nice fire.
Have a great week

I have a very hard time with the time change, but not with the fact that summer is over and Fall is here. Summer is just brutal here and I live for the cooler weather. We're finally getting a real taste of fall these last few days. We even had some rain! But it's always short lived and we'll be back in the 80s by the end of the week.
That picture is beautiful

Yes the time change is always a bit rough. The darkness is not my favorite but I do enjoy things a bit cooler. Have a lovely day!!

Beautiful sunset and blue water. You do not like the darkness b/c you are a reader and sewer. Easier to see those things in the daylight hours. Thanks for stopping by my blog! On of our guild members used to live in MI. Happy Blue Monday!

I find I'm getting up ealier due to the time change. Love your cottage view. My cottage is in Muskoka. It's too cold now to enjoy it up there in northern Ontario. Have to dream about it and wait until May. Happy Blue Monday Knitty.

Yeah, the time change stinks! When I leave work at 6PM it will be dark. I will have to drive carefully through a small patch of wooded road to avoid the little deer family that travel that same path. On a happier note, it is Monday and it was a beautiful day! ~ Robyn

I know, the time change is hard. It takes me a while to get used to the change, I need my little sleep!
Be a sweetie and thanks for popping in to see me.

Living where I do..."in the land down under"...it's opposite for us here...we started Daylight Savings so I'm enjoying the longer daylight hours to be able to garden, walk & just goof off for longer.
