Core'dinations

Core'dinations is a company that makes cardstock with colored cores. Maybe those of you who scrapbook or make cards have known about this for a long time, but it was new to me until this past Saturday. This is from a pack of twenty 12" x 12" sheets called Hocus Pocus. There are a few other color waves on black, tone on tone and colors on chocolate....the name alone should sell that one! Here the sheet is torn to show orange.

The person demonstrating this suggested using a stencil and then lightly sanding the embossed image. Maybe I needed a simpler image or should have embossed something using my Sidekick machine. Here's another view of the sheet, the reverse side of the torn strip and the not-so-wonderful embossed piece. One thing I've learned is to tear the image after sanding. The black fuzzies from sanding the paper will not leave that torn edge no matter how hard I try.

Not satisfied with the look and having no idea what I will do with this image, I fell back on the When All Else Fails remedy...Stickles! (colored glitter)

The company's website has a few demo videos and shows all the colors available. Check it out at Core'dinations
I'd love to see and hear what others have done with this product.

Knit, love the cardstock and oh how I love stickles. I think I have every color they make. I like how you used the stickles on the embossed pumpkin. Love Ya, Pat
