Do you still enjoy coloring?

I still love to color. A brand new box of crayons, colored pencils with sharpened tips or new markers will always be a treasured gift to me.

This Christmas I received Copic markers from one son and Watercolor pencils from another. I must admit that while I know Copic markers are highly rated among scrapbookers, card makers and such, I don't know much about them yet. I will be rectifying that soon.

Here are identical images stamped onto watercolor paper. The first image has been colored with watercolor pencils and water to soften and blend the shades. The second was done with Copic markers.
The cards are 3.5 x 2.5 in size, packaged as Artist Trading Card size. I plan to stamp a few more, continue to play and experiment, then punch holes in the top of the cards to be used as gift tags when I give someone a hand knit item. I will write care instructions and fiber content on the backs.

If you are a fan of either medium, I would love to hear about it.

Beautiful! I like them both.

They're both beautiful in two completely different ways. One is subtle, and the other bold.

As for coloring? I still like to. They used to give us coloring books and crayons in college during finals week all those years ago. It was supposed to be a stress releaser. It worked for me!

They look very nice - both are very beautiful!

I prefer the first, softer one, but what a great idea. I always loved colouring as a child, and I do it now with my little grandchildren, but I hadn't thought of actually getting some for myself!!

Love, love, love coloring. One of the most popular Christmas gifts every year are coloring books & crayons. I love a new box of crayons.

Watercolor is my favorite medium, so I sort of lean towards the first, but they are both so lovely.

When you address my card you can use "Skippy" or my real name. I don't care. heehee j/k

Have fun!
