Lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer

I have hit a blogging slump. I have nothing to show. I have nothing to write about. It must be because summer finally hit Michigan...never mind that it is now August and people in other parts of the country are already looking forward to fall.

I'm not in a bad mood, just sort of no mood at all. We've had a busier than usual week, visiting friends from South Carolina one night, going out to dinner with relatives for a birthday last night, and a seminar earlier in the week. The rest of the time was just usual stuff taking more time than usual.

We have rain today, probably an all day rain. I was going to visit an art fair, but I don't feel like leaving the house in this. It seems like a good day to read and nap, then knit and nap, and maybe snooze in the chair pretending to watch TV after dinner.

If I'm not back in a few days, hold a mirror under my nose to see if I'm breathing. Place some chocolate on it if you have any doubt.

Knitty, Knitty, Knitty,

Now, now...there's nothing like a Xanax, a little nap and a bit of chocolate that won't snap you out of it. You know, it's the Dog Days of Summer. We are just tired of the idea that summer means "Fun in the sun". Just run, run, run all day long. No time to be alone or take a nap or RELAX! My hubby wants to take a bike ride when I am just sitting down with a good book. In the winter, we would be entitled to schlep around all day in our jammies, but not in summer...I am looking at women in the gorcery store in full, perfect make up, and hair just so. I can't get make up on because I am sweating (even with the air on) and my hair looks like something you would scrub your sink out with!!

Well I am in Michigan too, you know, and it has been raining most of the day and now the heat has set in. We hit the big garage sale along Route 12 and I came home and slept for 2 hours. We just have to re~charge our batteries, Knitty. Sometimes EVERYDAY!

Ah, dearie, it's that August slump. I try to deal with it by getting a giant fountain coke at dawn and sipping on it all morning, interspersed with cups of coffee. It's the only thing I've found that can combat the Dog Days.

Hi Knitty, thanks for your kind words about my craft are so sweet.

The paint holder is very sturdy but it would be quite heavy to move if filled completely with paint. Both sides of the container hold paint and I have mine totally filled to the max.

I have had mine for several years and I am considering buying another. It was a good purchase.

Hope this helps.

Hugs, Barb
