The story is a slice of Felix Funicello's life as a fifth grader in a Catholic school in 1964. If you remember the '60s, you will smile at the description of life back then. If you only know the 60's from TV and the movies, you will still smile at some things that are universal no matter when you were a fifth grader. Didn't we all know a kid who seemed to know more about life than we did? And surely we all knew at least one brown noser/tattle tale that annoyed us as kids.
This book isn't a block buster, change your life story. It isn't long. In my opinion, like Goldilock's porridge, it is just right. When you see it at the bookstore or library, pick it up and read the dust cover synopsis. You just might want to take it home to enjoy.

I'll most definitely look for that one, Knitty! :) Sounds like just my kind of book. Once in a while I love those smaller, shorter books that don't require deep thought process. Just a fun read. And this sounds like one of those! :) Thanks!
Oh good, I'm glad you recommend it. I had already downloaded a sample to my Kindle, but I hadn't looked at it yet. Now it's bumped up my list. Thanks!e
